Shocking service new years day we came in at 12 hungry and ready to eat to be told the chef couldnt start as the landlady was still in bed when she did make an appearance she had make up smeared down her face from the night before and constantly said how tired she was we had a fairly big party of us in to eat and drink so when we could eventually order food we did 5/6 orders of food went in my family's order being the 3rd order that went in which ended up being the last to be served an hour or so after we'd first ordered we spoke to the landlady about it who didn't know at all how to handle the complaint and passed the blame on to the chef with no apology from her or even offer of a partial refund for the wait she just ensured us the chef would come out and apologise to us all which he never did once and to be honest the food when it did eventually arrive wasnt worth waiting for at all.....once the vast majority of the party left a few of us stayed but moved on to another table so the tables we'd all eaten at could be cleaned up we left at around 6.30pm and the tables we'd first sat at still hadn't been cleared and cleaned....we were all trying to be patient as understandably it was new years eve the night before so hangovers were going to be inevitable but even taking that into consideration the customer service, wait for food and the food itself was extremely poor.

Place looks great after its recent refurb. Landlord and lady are lovely and making it a lovely local. Food is lovely too!
Last night I had my 50th birthday party in fancy dress and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was fantastic. The DJ was brilliant kept everyone dancing with great tunes. Chris and becca were great nothing was too much trouble. I had the best party thank you.
Can't thank the lovely team here enough. Had my daughters 18th here last night and they helped to make it so special. Family and friends aged from 1-75 had a fantastic time. The room was perfect for what we needed. We had a disco, brought our own food, decorated and then just relaxed. Having a private toilet made such a difference as everyone felt very secure that the kids wouldnt wander off. The smaller kids were able to play on the well lit play area with Mums and Dads keeping an eye through the back doors and windows. The older kids boogied all night. Thank you so so much. We definitely recommend
