Had to update my review. I can no longer give the Cow 5 stars. I absolutely adore this pub, beer is good, food is good, atmosphere is good. However there is one staff member who has really let the side down. They are rude, unhelpful and obnoxious. If they are working it puts us in a real dilema as to whether we go in or not.Previous 5 star review:"Great beer and even better atmosphere. Dog friendly, live music amazing staff.. If there's a better live music and real ale venue in Mansfield I haven't seen it. More beers, ciders and gins than you can shake a stick at. And on selected nights (which is pretty much most weekend's) fabulous live local bands covering just about all musical tastes.
We love this pub and often drink there. A good range of drinks are on offer from gins to real ales. Live music is also available on certain dates. The secret garden has been very successful this last hot summer.
