Park in the forestThis is a great park for kids, in the wider context of The Major Oak and a well appointed modern visitor centre. The RSPB shop is interesting and parking is free for RSPB members. 4.00 nonmembers. The craft centre is close by and has the better cafe. Great place for young and old, events at Halr Term, we visit with or without the grandkids.
I have been here few times, in summer time and we got great time with kids
3.00 parking, caf, information center, exhibition centre,gift shop, easy to get to, friendly atmosphere, plenty of old and disfigured tree's to discover, ice cream van available, plenty people who take their dogs and children
Just to let anyone know, the park is being moved across the road and is currently closed. Keep eye on the Facebook page as the website is out of date as the owners have lost access to it due to bereavement.
Needs some love, however a must to get down with Robin hood and the gang. Great walks and atmosphere
