I remember the tabletop tree. I used to look out for it travelling with my Mother on the bus from Nottingham to Mansfield to visit friends. I was about 5 years old then. I am 75 years old now and wondered if it was still there

The Table top tree has been maintained by someone for as many years as I can remember passing it. (50 years ?). For many years it was labelled with a hanging sign. In recent years the table top has gradually got thicker. Perhaps someone has taken over trimming it. ? I understand it to be a Hawthorne tree, often called a May Tree.
