Basic accommodation but clean and reasonable price. Staff very welcoming. Could do with improving quality of bedding and pillows.
My sister booked 281 for my surprise baby shower and I have to say i was over the moon. The function room and bar area are both modern and clean. The afternoon tea we had was delicious, with free flowing tea and coffee.They also catered for my friend who is gluten intolerant, her afternoon tea looked just as lovely as ours did. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff, they were all happy and helpful. Thank you to everyone at 281 we will defently be back.
We booked the function room for a large family meal. From a few years ago people said it was poor. However I had a great meal and thought the place was well laid out. Parking is excellent round back. Drinks were a bit pricey.
Excellent select of food very well maintained, clean great decor. Good for functions or a break for a few day. Small bar open to non guests.
We attended a friend's wedding reception here. The food and service was brilliant, the staff were friendly and helpful. My partner, Byron and myself want to give a special mention to Karen, a manager at the hotel who gave us a lift back to our hotel. We were struggling to get a taxi and Karen came to our rescue. Many thanks again, we really appreciated your kind gesture.
