Always a wonderful place for children. The events are terrific, and it is set up beautifully in a way that children can enjoy it without disturbing other library users!
A pleasant modern place to visit; I enjoyed my visit with a few exceptions.I visited the library to do some genealogy research; there was no instructions to use the Microfiche machines and how to print from the machines and at 60 pence a copy can work out to be a expensive process; 2.40 pence just to get a decent copy of a baptism record then I had to spend another 1.80 pence to adjust for a decent readable copy of a section from the Chad films as the quality varies throughout the films used.The storage of the Parish Records in a two ring binder is totally inadequate, the files falling off shelves on selection and the fiche plates falling out; They need four ring binders minimum for the weight of the storage sleeves held in the binders and my personal recomendation would be Library Ringbinder Box Files.
